Water Treatment Systems & Equipment
• SYSTEM OVERVIEW
Four Water Treatment Solutions
DeLoach designs and manufactures water treatment equipment for degasification, decarbonation, aeration, and pilot or emergency treatment applications. System selection depends on the water quality, filtration process, and treatment requirements.
99.999%
H₂S removal efficiency when properly applied

01
Degasification
Also called: Decarbonators / Degasifier Towers
Degasification removes hazardous hydrogen sulfide (H₂S) gas from water. When properly applied, DeLoach systems can achieve up to 99.999% H₂S removal efficiency. Water quality and the filtration process help determine the appropriate system configuration.
H₂S Removal Up to 99.999% Efficiency Forced or Induced Draft
02
Decarbonators
Also called: Degasifiers
Decarbonation strips excess carbon dioxide (CO₂) from water after membrane filtration or lime softening. A properly designed system can raise post-treatment pH by approximately 1 to 1.5 units, reducing the need for chemical pH adjustment while improving water quality and lowering operating costs.
CO₂ Removal Raises pH 1–1.5 units Reduces Chemical Adjustment
03
Aeration
Induced or Forced Draft for Iron Oxidation
Aeration introduces air into the treatment process to initiate oxidation of iron and other naturally occurring elements in water. DeLoach identifies aeration as the most economical method for beginning the oxidation process.

Portable Pilot & Emergency Systems
Field testing & Emergency Treatment
DeLoach maintains pilot equipment for field testing new and expanding water treatment projects. Package treatment systems can also provide emergency treatment when critical systems are offline, with controls and pumping systems supplied as needed and equipment scaled to the application.

• PROCESS TYPE SELECTION
Forced Draft vs. Induced Draft
Both configurations are available in fiberglass, aluminum, or stainless steel. The right choice depends primarily on the gases present in the water and the treatment requirements.
↑
Configuration
Forced Draft
Best for
Water containing corrosive Hydrogen Sulfide gases
How it works
Fresh air is forced up through the tower to strip gases from the water
Key advantage
Corrosive gases bypass the blower, extending equipment life
↓
Configuration
Induced Draft
Best for
Water with no corrosive gas to remove
How it works
Fresh air is pulled through the tower; air and contaminants exhaust through the top blower
Key advantage
Smaller equipment footprint
• TOWER CONFIGURATION
Round vs. Square Treatment Towers
| Round Towers | Square Towers | |
|---|---|---|
| Media | Loose-fill packing | Loose-fill or DeLoach proprietary slat tray media |
| Cleaning | Standard cleaning cycles | Reduced fouling and fewer cleaning cycles |
| Loading Capacity | Standard, based on footprint | Higher loading capability from increased surface area |
| Materials | Fiberglass, 6061 aluminum, or stainless steel | Fiberglass, 6061 aluminum, or stainless steel |
10 YEARS
Same Removal Performance
Round and square towers provide the same removal efficiency. DeLoach towers carry a 10-year warranty on tower shells and internals, excluding media and blowers, subject to maintenance requirements.
